The unexpected news news as the multi-award winner, Beyonce‘s 2011 album titled “4″ was announced to hit the one billion mark on the Spotify streaming service this week. Release seven years ago the critically acclaimed studio album “4″ joined two of her other projects “I Am… Sasha Fierce” and “Beyonce” as one of the singer’s three albums to have a collected a billion streams each on the global music streaming service.
The 36-year-old, becomes Spotify, first woman to now have three of her albums surpass one billion Spotify streams on their playllist. According to stats, “4’s” most popular tracks is her global hit “Run the World (Girls)” and “Love On Top” which together accounts for the huge 400 million streams combined plus the 10 other tracks accompanied on the playlist. The album is already about 9 times platinum globally and has a number of hits on the Billboard charts among other Gold plaques.
Currently to date Beyonce has more that 31M followers on Spotify.
