Since the top of the year the sneaker brand, New Balance has been teasing releases from their 30th anniversary collaboration with the crystal brand widely known for its jewelry, Swarovski. The bold “N” logo on the sneaker is presented covered with Swarovski crystals. The style of which I’ve seen prior to entrepreneurs on the sale website Esty has been doing for years in their own homemade type of way. The brand has reached a collaboration to celebrate into the holidays adding the 574 silhouette with the NB1 574 with crystals from Swarvoski. Initially releasing the black and grey pairs in both men and women (seen) below, the brand adds another two pairs for the holidays.
Not that the collaboration comes cheap, the sneakers are priced at $300 in color-ways “Rose” and “Peacock” – this version includes a premium leather liner as well. The iconic 574’s are exclusively available over NB1 customization platform in the US, Europe, China, Canada, Japan. Not only is Swarovski a highlight of the sneaker but the brand also switches out laces for ribbons making it a perfect gift coming along with a shoe bag and bespoke box. The pair is released in both men’s and women sizes.
My guess is the ‘N’ logo is designed by Swarovski and then later stitched on. Something at least on the streets of NYC has been doing for awhile. Along with NB, AF1 logos. Don’t let me go in the archives.
