He shoots, He scores…

He done did it again! The Off-White designer has done it again. This time taking his talents to the sporting culture of soccer. No it’s not American Football, its Football like they say on the East of the world. Sticking to the Nike partnership, Virgil Abloh dedicated his talents to revamping the soccer uniform for Nike summer 2018 release. The release projects include a highlight of color and detail of soccer uniforms of sporting jerseys, pre-match jackets, cleats, shorts, socks, goal keeper’s gloves and many more accessories the totally brand the streetwear designer in his latest event release of the global sporting company.

There is a lot of black-and-white checker board designs, subtle nod to strips and team logo’s and flyknit technology on the seasonal release. It’s Virgil first release in sporting lifestyle clothing after his release with Nike of a pair of American Football cleats for the NFL. Via Nike Virgil stated…

“The great thing about the vocabulary and history of football is that aesthetically it has its own look. I was always inspired by the way European teams have a sponsor printed over the chest. When I was working on this collection, I wanted to celebrate the different variants of typography,” says Abloh.

Virgil also for the first time appeared personally in the campaign for the release…
