Adidas jumps over the jumpman…again!
Other than sharing the spot light with the tons of images online, there is a definite growing market for the sneaker industry. Other than keeping up with the daily updates and trends, Instagram has been a key marketing factor for the fashion and sneaker industry. According to Forward2me a parcel shipping company used their analytics squad to mine some data and hashtags on social media, specifically Instagram where they found that while the Adidas NMD pair of sneakers practically is sold out hours off release, the pair is also one of IG’s most Instagrammed sneakers according to the data.
The top three pairs were Adidas’s NMD being the most popular sneaker, and accumulating over 5.7 million posts, followed by Adidas’s Yeezy 350 with 4.1 million posts on Instagram and one of Vans’ most classic styles, ‘Old Skool’, with 3.5 million posts. The biggest takeaway: Adidas has snapped up three out of the top five spots on the list with the help of Kanye West and adding another notch over the Nike brand who’s biggest release for the year has been their collab with Virgil Abloh.
