T he work of Kaws, real name Brian Donnelly, was more commonly associated with limited toy releases, magazine front page designs and album artwork collaborations in the Hip-hop and media community. These days things are changing as the painter/graphic artist has been taking over high end luxury home accessories and making his European fashion debut. But the day one work from Kaws is still a heavily in demand as LE pieces release in recent last few collaborations. Kaws’s plush toys and plastic sculptures that challenge skyscrapers have been dubbed in the “art toys” category along with his most famous  “Companion”, figurine which is a cross between a skull and Mickey, created in 1999.

Over the week Kaws yet again debut another high-end release. This time a collaborating capsule release with Dior Homme Campaign given the four previous days it took create the 33-footer flowers Kaws BFF. With a ton of celebs in attendance the runway show commenced to intro the 2019 spring/summer release. The capsule collection offerings featured in the campaign included items made in collaboration with KAWS that will hit stores in 2019 with the unique ‘bee‘ logo which teased the collaboration early last month. The collection of fight jackets, jumpers, denim collection, sweat pants, chino pants, among other basics.
