JT Free Release ‘First Day Out’ Single With Yung Mami Of #CityGirls

JT Free City Girls was released from prison today along with the announcement for her first single ‘First Day Out’ single from City Girls featuring rap mate, Yung Mami.

City Girls member JT (real name Jatavia Johnson) made a rare appearance today on social media upon being released from serving a prison sentence for fraud. Along with the release announcement of JT Free, Yung Mami the other half of the rap duo City Girls took to IG with an announcement of her own. Yung Mami posted an image of the upcoming single from the City Girls along with the caption ” YOU BITCHES IN TROUBLE!! MY BITCH HOME!”

The single has been one of the longest anticipated singles in Hip-hop from a rap group featuring two women. Under the QC (Quality Control) imprint the brand has remained visual and relevant with features from Yung Mami and a project that were recorded by the duo before JT went in to serve her time.

Initially, JT was slated to be released in March 2020 after beginning her sentence in June 2018. Then, in an interview with 99Jamz last August, Quality Control’s CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas revealed that the embattled artist would be home “within the next 90 days.
