Nike Dunks resurrected as 2020’s “Shoe Of The Year’ according to FN even during one of retail’s longest pandemic.
Footwear News recently announced that the Nike Dunks silhouette is their ultimate choice for the 2020 ‘virtual’ shoe of the year. One of Nike’s even more prominent sneakers is the Nike Dunks that made its appearance in 1985. The sneaker has accumulated more than its share of past collaborations over the years with Jeff Staple, Da La Soul, Futura, and Tiffany Diamonds. In the most recent releases, Ben & Jerry and Travis Scott have turned the sneaker into the 2020s most sought-after by collectors and resellers alike.
Despite Yeezy and Jordan being 2020 most popular sneaker, the Nike Dunks collaborative efforts have maintained some of the highest resale value on the market. The Grateful Dead ‘Orange Bear’ pair currently holds the record for the highest resell value of $3,500 within the industry.
The first virtual FNAAs will air online on Dec. 8 and are sponsored by The Style Room Powered by Zappos and FDRA. Other honorees include Cardi B as Style Influencer of the Year, Salehe Bembury as Designer of the Year, and New Balance as Athletic Brand of the Year — plus many more
