Shenseea’s recent releases hint that her rumored debut album might be on the way, as she rolls out a slew of freestyles.
In recent weeks, the Dancehall artist has been releasing a slew of freestyles, building hype among her social media fans. The Jamaican hotgyal recently opted out of the Junebug Challenge, replacing it with one of her tongue-slinging freestyles.

During an interview with Shenseea on November 9th hosted by Violator DJ’s on Zoom, the Dancehall superstar mentioned that she is preparing her debut compilation project for a February 2021 release. The album, without a doubt, will feature the likes of her favorite music producer, Rvssian. Alongside some American-based influencers. Many fans have been pre-occupied with their time none-the-less with freestyle videos and Instagram captions, drawing a comparison with the iconic likes of Nicki Minaj. Whom of which also have West Indian roots.
While we might not hear anything for the next couple of weeks, I trust the hype turns into a project fans can appreciate. We should also expect a wide variety of music ranging from Trap/Dancehall influencers to Pop releases, as many Caribbean artists have been gravitating as they find familiarity with an American based sound.
I would still prefer, Shenseea to stick closer to music the Caribbean cultural sound everyone can appreciate, limited to 10-tracks.
