In an Instagram post, the Dancehall superstar Popcaan drops notice that his fifth studio album is currently in the works, but what to expect?
Over the weekend, the Unruly Boss posted several photos of himself. The images published foretold the revelation of the upcoming project Popcaan announced ‘Album Brewing.’ The release will make it his fifth studio project since his debut of ‘Where We Come From’ 2014 compilation and his third in two years.
Among various predictions, we insist there will be the usual suspects featuring Drake and Dre Skull. The duo can do no wrong when it comes to music. What to expect from the album is a more cohesive world project featuring Afrobeats artists and possibly but limited to a soca artist. Popcaan has solidified himself as a mid-tempo performer who has been lyrically persuasive throughout his career.
His fourth release, FIXTAPE took on a life of its own with guest appearances from Lockdown producer Dane Ray, Drake, French Montana, Jada Kingdom, Masicka, Preme, Stylo G, and Tommy Lee Sparta. The initial album release peaked at No. 2 on the Reggae Albums Chart. No. 94 on the Billboard 200, and included songs such as Twist & Turn, All I Need, Friends Like These, My Way, and Bank and God.
