The Chopstars VP, Dj Hollygrove blessed Yohannes with a special remix release of the ‘Inquire’ music single.

Born Gabriel Smith II, Yohannes took a classic approach to the remix of ‘Inquire’. Instead of re-writing verses or featuring multiple artists, the VA-based musician recruited assistance from the Houston Chopstars. The Chopstars, also known as Chopstar DJs, are a group of DJs and turntablists that perform chopped and screwed remixes of various hit records. Ode to the late Dj Screw, Dj Hollygrove continues to salute the sub-genre of Hip-Hop with the ‘Chopped Not Slopped’ version.
The Chopped Not Slopped remix comes not less than three months after the original release of ‘Inquire’ has made its appearance.
Meanwhile his 2020 release of ‘Moderation’ has been well-received by fans. Furthermore the single has accumulated over a million streams, making it one of his favorites to date. ‘Inquire’ is only further proof that he is not a one-trick-pony. Yohannes shares his ability to create an inclusive talent base that consists of various sub-genres of the culture. As I think it is equally important to mention that this inclusivity, is heavily reflected in his multi-genre music productions.
