Pharrell takes on time and space in the latest collaboration release with the Richard Mille RM 52-05 timepiece.
#LouisVuitton Is The Latest Lux Brand To Join The Smartwatch Industry W/ The #TambourHorizon
Watches are a utility piece that most of us use to stay on schedule and therefore on time. But like people say ‘time is money’, so if your watch is flooded with diamonds I’m sure you won’t be able to tell time. Unlike the RM 52-o5 that combines all three, with time, money and now space. Pharrell introduces the collaboration release today the watch brand that is very popular with millionaires, Richard Mille.
The cost of the release watch? A cool $1 Million plus taxes give or take. But the watch is a limited timepiece’s in the horology culture. While the smartwatch watch might be cool amongst our peers, a Richard Mille is God of time.
Break down of the watch.
Part watch, part work of art, the Richard Mille x Pharrell RM 52-05 is among the most ambitious release that included Pharrell’s favorite theme. The space-themed timepiece. By manually winding tourbillon movement, featuring a grade 5 titanium baseplate and bridges, with blue aventurine glass inserts that resemble space visible through the crystal caseback. On the front, is a helmet and spacesuit structure are also made from grade 5 titanium, connecting to the movement underneath. Diamonds and black sapphires on either side of the helmet represent projectors and cameras, while the curved 5N gold visor was engraved, grand-feu-enameled and then hand-painted to depict an astronaut’s view of Earth from Mars. Brown Cermet is used to craft the bezel and case back perimeter, both of which are affixed to a caseband made from carbon TPT. It’s finished with an orange rubber strap and is sure to be highly limited. (According to uncrate)
