BET Hip-hop Awards featured Beenie Man & Bounty Killa alongside Koffee, Shenseea, and Skip Marley in their first Reggae Cypher.

Globally known for his lyrical upbringing, Beenie Man used his platform to address a prior magazine cover snub. During the airing of the BET Hip-hop Awards, the lyrical God called out Billboard Magazine for their lack of acknowledgment over his Verzuz TV appearance. The verse, pre-recorded in Hope Gardens in Kingston, Jamaica aired on Tuesday night. Without any reservations, Beenie Man launched his lyrical ensemble during his appearance alongside Bounty Killa.

While there were many other iconic moments to celebrate during the award show, Koffee, Shenseea, and Skip Marley were all deserving of the freestyle spotlight. The Jamaican producer DJ, ZJ Liquid, host the freestyle alongside Jamaica’s biggest celebs.

Beenie Man opened the freestyle on the BET Hip-hop Awards with;

Mi did kinda nervous, Wha day mi duh di Verzus
Mi a wonder if American neva saw dem curse us
Caw di Billboard Magazine come out wha day, dem neva reveal us
Thank God dat I’m a genius a musical Nostradamus

So right yah now mi hotta dan di coffee inna di thermos
