The ‘Candyman’ remake movie, moves from a late Spring release to an early Fall 2020 release, but no word if it will be streaming.

According to Universal / MGM, the “Candyman’ movie has been re-scheduled for a fall 2020 debut. While event spaces are slowly opening up to a 50% capacity, it’s still unsure whether or not the movie will make a traditional release. Originally being released in 1992, the fourth installment was dated to be released on June 12th. Until the untimely pandemic all major movie events were rescheduled to a later date. Ultimately the ‘Candyman‘ movie has been scheduled for an Oct 16th release date against the pending pandemic.

Candyman has already released 3 movies over the decade. Rolling Stones dubbed the series an American original bogeyman story. Aired in 1992 the storyline would need a drastic adjustment to usher into a new decade. With the success of ‘Get Out,’ no one has been more qualified for the job than Jordan Peele. Using his initial platform of Key & Peele to make light of the racial and gender disparities on cable TV it is been further used as an intricate thread in weaving storylines for his latest release. Including the Twilight Zone series under CBS.com.
