Lexus concept has unveiled its “Lexus Electrified” vision for its upcoming generation of electrified vehicles.  The Lexus LF-30 Electrified concept car is a look into the next decade of the Lexus brand.

The concept car designed by Lexus embodies its latest initiative to drive electric with the ‘Lexus Electrified’ vision.  The intended features include autonomous driving and drone support technologies that look ahead to the year 2030. A long way from the recent Air Force 1’s designed tires the brand collaboration Lexus and Nike supported early this year.  The car looks straight out of a Sci-Fi movie.  The first thing you notice is the continuously stretching glass frame from the front of the car to its rear.  As well as the legendary Lexus muscular fenders and the wing-shaped headlights form the contours of the Lexus iconic spindle.

According to Lexus, the exterior color named ‘voltaic sky’ employs a leading-edge metal-infused coating to achieve a unique quality tinted by a touch of blue-green. This blue-green tint is very noticeable along the streaming front to the rear of the concept with bits of black details along with the silhouette of the exterior including its two vertical lifting doors.

As for the interior, the brand focused on the driver experience and the ever-increasing possible distractions they deal with as AI tech, and other media increase in usage.  The Lexus LF-30 Electrified employs next-generation interfaces, such as demanding gesture control and enhanced presentation of vehicle information through AR (augmented reality).  Everything about the design is tailored to fit for the comfort and the safety of its riders. The rear seats use artificial muscle technology to mold to their occupants and can support various modes such as reclining, relaxation, and alert functions thanks to the increased interior legroom.

Among all the features added to the concept, the glass roof above the rear seats takes the focal point for its passengers.  Features a voice control and a gesture-controlled “SkyGate” display window above the riders that use AR to display various types of information, such as a realistic star-filled sky, user-favorite videos, and even navigation.

I don’t know why we should wait till 2030 for this because it’s about time drivers enjoy and begins to include conscience and safety in their transportation.
