Netflix silently added the ‘More Than A Moment’ home screen collection to highlight black storytellers on their streaming app.
The ‘More Than A Moment’ home screen has been featuring a catalog of black storytellers. The platform is using Black Lives Matter as a platform to highlight the additional home screen. Netflix host includes the addition from acclaimed releases from Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods, Ava DuVernay’s 13th, and When They See Us, Mudbound, Orange Is The New Black and Oscar-winner Moonlight.
When you sign in to your account you will see a carefully curated list of black titles. The aim is to highlight complex and layered stories about racial injustice and Blackness in America to their global audience. It is a featured home screen to the U.S and U.K audience.
Netflix IG published the following;
“To be silent is to be complicit,” the streaming giant said in a previous social media post, adding “Black lives matter. We have a platform and we have a duty to our Black members, employees, creators, and talent to speak up.” We love to see it. Get your Netflix subscription today and tune in!
