The grassroots movement ‘Black Lives Matter‘ has grown into a global protest.  A movement that began out of consistent and blatant racism practices in America catching the attention and support of various celebrities.  So much that celebrity supporters are funding bailout budgets for protestors.  Among those celebrities is Philly’s own Fresh Prince.

Will Smith launched an attack of his own on racism on behalf of Black Lives Matter.  The montage features soundbites by various ideas Will Smith has incorporated throughout his life.  Titled  ‘No Justice, No Peace’ the three minutes video of clips and photos embodies the spirit of the protest.  Will published the video collage on Youtube with the caption ‘The thing worse than rebellion is the thing that causes rebellion’ – Frederick Douglass.

“You always have a fight you don’t see coming,” Smith says on camera at the beginning of the clip. “I think that there’s a historical river that is running red with the blood of truth-tellers. The beauty of being American — when we’re scared, we reach for our higher selves, not our lower selves.”
