[mks_dropcap style=”rounded” size=”52″ bg_color=”#1e1e1e” txt_color=”#fcfcfc”]N[/mks_dropcap] ot surprising the multi-award director Jordan Peele, and his latest horror-thriller epic film release “Us” generated some $7 Million on its opening night on Thursday. Along with another $29 million on its opening day Friday according to CNBC. “Us” is now expected to shatter expectations with $67 million tickets already purchased in its opening North American weekend on March 22nd-24th, according to early tracking.
The release beats his freshman epic movie release ‘Get Out‘ on first day releases and is heading to take over its previous weekend sales. Jordan implied last year that his first featured film had a budget of $4.5 million. A result of that the movie brought in over $255 million worldwide. With previous success already in hand much more is expected in his sophomore release of ‘Us’. The release had a substantially larger production budget according to Jordan in an interview with Indiewire, of $20 million and would need another $130 Million yearly ticket sales to secure a top spot over ‘Get Out’. While all arrows point to Peele’s conquer of Hollywood Peele is back to proving that there is success in casting a diverse group and in a black cast period!
Jordan is already and currently on promo a promo run despite rumors of a reboot of the Twilight Zone TV series and Candyman the movie.
