Electric cars compete in North America.

First thing, the android powered Polestar is making its way into the American electric car competition with its only competitor being the 100% electric car from Elon Musk, of Tesla cars.  Volvo’s sub-brand ‘Polestar’ is a brand that produces high-end electric performance cars with Volvo underpinnings. Last month the brand made its announcements that the Polestar 2 will be fitted with a Google-Powered (Android) smart hub as its control center and marketed to the North American public.

Joining the lines of other car producers the Polestar 2 has been said to be able to travel up to 275 miles on a single charge, on a battery that makes up the entire floor of the car, according to Volvo. The brand also boast about its 408 horsepower that will allow drivers to open up its performance, across its dual electric motors. That all-wheel drive power should help the car get from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 5 seconds.

While the Polestar 1 is currently limited to 500 cars through a subscription with Volvo to the European market, the Polestar 2 will see a mass retail platform in America while being manufactured in China. Not yet priced under the current conflict of tariffs by the WH administration the retail sticker will be sure to make some eyes open and hopefully more affordable to car owners who have been waiting on their own 100% electric car.
