Reebok moves forwards with an NYC-inspired release sneaker with Cardi B titled “Let Me Be…in my World’ behind the scenes promo shoot.
On the eve of the Reebok’s sale, comes the launch of the Classic Leather footwear release with Cardi B. The release of the sneaker drop also comes on the heels of her Billboard hitta titled ‘Rumors’ with Lizzo. Titled “Let Me Be…in my World,” (published above) the collection is rooted in her upbringing in New York’s Bronx borough. Featuring four colorways released the classic Reebok silhouette appears in sandy rose, triathlon red, hunter green, and ftwr white.
This NYC-inspired collection features some of NYC’s classic pieces including apparel, highlighted by a corset hoodie, bodysuit, and ribbed skirt, all of which Cardi says provide “snatchness.”
Priced from $30 for three face masks up to $110 for the Classic Leather sneaker, Reebok and Cardi’s collection will launch at 12:00 PM EST on August 27, 2021, on reebok.com and at select retailers.
Reebok’s pairing with Cardi B seems to have matured and transitioned seamlessly across media platforms. Cardi more or less displays a creative direction that fulfills her personality and specific branding needs. The partnership is on its third year of the deal which began in November of 2018. It seems like celebrities are taking more opportunities to create their own sub-brands and silhouettes for Reebok’s iconic sneaker models.
Reebok was the first brand to sign Hip-Hop artists to sneaker deals beginning with Jay z and 50 Cent.
