The sneaker of the year, Air Force 1’s, has found itself in a rare collaboration between Nike and Louis Vuitton, thanks to Virgil Abloh.

Designed in 21-colorways the industry’s most coveted sneaker was unveiled on Thursday in collaboration with Louis Vuitton. The Air Force 1 sneaker model has become part of Virgil Abloh’s spring 2022 collection for the French luxury brand. Not to be confused with his Off-White collaboration with Nike’s dunk low releases, available in 21-colorways. Images released referenced two iconic pairs featuring the white on white and a tan LV print schedule to accompany the future drop. Also scheduled to be a part of the release are Nike x LV luggage releases seen in the images after the jump.

In a statement to WWD, LV revealed;

“The cover embodied the hip-hop community’s early practice of hacking together high fashion and sportswear, sidelining diverging brands with equal reverence. A cultural symbol in its own right, today the Nike Air Force 1 serves as an objet d’art emblematic of self-generated subcultural provenance.”

The partnership comes on the heels of Dior’s highly successful collaboration last year with Nike’s Jordan Brand.
