Fila’s ‘Paisley Power’ Disrupter Sneakers Take On Nike’s ‘Lumpy Air’ For Women

While Nike has dominated as a number 2 sneaker brand on the globe, here comes Fila looking to give the brand a shake up in streetwear culture. Re-emerging in the early parts of 2018 the throwback athletic brand re-introduced itself as a ‘disrupter’ to the streetwear culture with an unbelievable affordable sneaker for both men and women. While they were a very popular brand in the 90’s as a sporting good gear. Now the brand is back with some help from Fendi and now with an assist from the Seoul-based label Fleamadonna, including an apparel capsule themed on pink and paisley. Nike on the other hand has been kind of spear heading their own path with the release collabo of the London based designer Martine Rose’s and introduce their ‘Air Monarch 4’ (Lumpy) release over the weekend.

Not to mention the fact that both sneakers appear on pink but too often maybe stereotypically brands target female groups with these popular colorways. Fila on the other had has incorporated the collaboration into a capsule extension with women’s hoodies, tees, sweat and fanny packs. Nike sporting a unique ‘lumpy’ features on the sides of the sneaker while Fila has a unique black lining to highlight its highly regarded silhouette.
