J. Cole, Cardi B And Travis Scott Shine In 2019 BET Hip-Hop Awards

J Cole took home three awards this year at the BET Hip-Hop Awards followed by Cardi B, Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Nas X.

The evening’s presenters included singer and the multi-talented Harlem legend, Teyana Taylor, and Oscar nominee Daniel Kaluuya. The 2019 Hip Hop Awards took to the URL code and debuted their first and live battle rap round on air.  Between the URL rappers DNA, Geechi Gotti, T-Top and Shotgun Suge, all paving the way for rap battle to hit a mainstream opportunity along with the Queen’s rapper DNA taking home the Bet Hip-Hop Awards $25K.

Hosted by comedian Lil Duval for an Oct. 5 tapping, the ceremony aired Tuesday, Oct. 8 on BET Networks. Lil’ Kim received the 2019 “I Am Hip Hop” honor, performing a medley of her hits, and was joined by Junior Mafia. Other performances of the evening included Megan Thee Stallion, Rick Ross, Chance the Rapper, Offset, T-Pain, Lil Baby, DaBaby, Lil Jon, Rapsody, YBN Cordae, Anderson .Paak, Saweetie, Kamillion and Tom. G.
