Nike’s ‘Space Hippie’ sneaker is their first step toward the ‘Move To Zero’ campaign that is intended to reduce their carbon footprint.
In a path titled ‘Move to Zero’, Nike is forging its own space. The upcoming release is based on recycled materials. ‘Space Hippie’ sneakers are titled 01, 02, 03, and 04. The ultimate goal is to create stylish, preserve the utility function while lessening its carbon footprint. These sneakers are manufactured with at least 85% of each shoe is constructed with a Flyknit variation called rPoly. ‘rPoly’ is an eco-friendly material made from recycled plastic bottles. Much like H&M who has designed similar materials to manufacture a clothing category with similar eco-friendly interests.
The release will all sport a wolf grey upper body and orange and powder blue detailing. Of the four pairs being released 01 and 04 are women exclusive. While 02 and 03 are unisex for the most case of you can find your sizing chart.
Nike is answering that call with the ‘Space Hippie’ sneaker collection initially slated to roll out during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
