As we get closer to award season, we get a closeup at the nominees for the 2020 Golden Globes Awards. The have’s and have not’s of the nominations.

Social media did not take well to the recent announcement of nominees of the 2020 Golden Globes Awards. Celebrating another year of the best films, TV shows, actors, actresses, and directors from the past year. Among this year’s nods for the upcoming 2020 Golden Globes picks for possible Best Film are Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Joker, Marriage Story, The Irishman, and Dolemite Is My Name. Among movies like Hustlers, The Lion King, including a few other Netflix productions.

While one of the biggest snubs ‘Us‘ a 2019 American horror film written and directed by Jordan Peele, starring Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Elisabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker were also acknowledged on Twitter as downfalls of the Academy.  Zendaya, Robert De Niro, When They See Us. Ava DuVernay’s Netflix miniseries about the Central Park Five received wide critical acclaim, just another few who social media declares official snubs.  None-the-less the show will go on and celebrities likely not to attend.
