Not for the weak or faint of heart, but these sneakers are really catching their share of prices. Sotheby’s, in partnership with Stadium Goods (the sneaker store located in Soho NYC), released some new info on a limited time offer. The ultimate sneaker collection is available online as an auction under the Sothebys brand. Known for their vintage auctions of paintings and artifacts this auction applies to, a different kind of fan.

The auction will include not just some of the rarest, most coveted sneakers ever produced by the biggest names in the industry but up to a 100 pairs mostly NIKE’s and Air Jordan’s up for grabs and I’m telling this ain’t for the broke. The auction is available online or also available for a physical inspection at the Sotheby’s New York offices to view the public exhibition (and see these wearable works of art for yourself).

From a handmade pair of Nike ‘Moon Shoe’ circa 1972, designed by Nike co-founder and Oregon University track coach Bill Bowerman, to two pairs of Nike Mag sneakers, from 2011 and 2016, inspired by Marty McFly’s kicks in Back to the Future Part II, as well as the included pair available in 10.5 of the Air Jordan Jeter pictured above.
