The iconic-basketball player recently broke his usual script to announce the pledge of $100 – Million towards ‘Black Lives Matter’ protest.

Ever since the passing of Kobe Bryant, it seems like Michael Jordan has taken up the torch that was left.  He’s been more outspoken and much more public about his emotions and his ideas.  Only hours after Nike announced it was investing $40 million to Black communities, the star of the ‘The Last Dance’ documentary Michael Jordan revealed an additional $100-Million pledge through his personal commitment to the cause.

Michael Jordan and the Jordan athletic imprint have vowed to roll out $100-Million within the next 10 years.  Recipients are organizations that promote racial equality, social justice, and greater access to education.  Jordan Brand president Craig Williams said in a statement “There is still more work for us to do to drive real impact for the Black Community. We embrace the responsibility.”
