Jay-Z’s music streaming platform will soon have a virtual reality partner with Sensorium Galaxy’s all-digital alternate ‘ Tidal concerts’
The music streaming service Tidal, has been very active over the past couple of months. Their last streaming concert featured Lil Uzi Vert at $15 a pop. Jay Z is aiming to enhance the concert goer experience with a virtual reality investment with Sensorium Galaxy. According to PR Newswire, (Aug 17th) the VR tech has designed a multi-user environment. The new social media VR will allow users to craft their own unique virtual personas during events. The technology patterns the likes of the tech shown in the movie ‘Ready Player One.’
Tidal (Aug 28th) has an investment of $7 million on tokens or ‘SENSO Tokens’ as it is called. These tokens will allow Tidal’s artist co-owners – including Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Daft Punk, and Coldplay’s Chris Martin to share the experience on the site.
The platform is a one of a kind introduction to the public. A first social ‘media’ VR experience for concerts goers who are unable to attend physical events. VR users will gain the experience to interact with other VR users during the Live Streaming event through the use of technology hardware designed by Sensorium Galaxy. Sensorium Galaxy will also be accessible through PC, iOS, and Android applications.[bctt tweet=”Jay-Z’s music streaming platform will soon have a virtual reality partner with Sensorium Galaxy’s all-digital alternate ‘ Tidal concerts'” via=”no”]
