JayZ Tops Hip-Hop Wealthiest 2019 List

Shortly after Forbes published that Jay among the top three Hip-Hop moguls to be the first Hip-Hop Billionaire a week later Forbes also recently released their annual list of cash kings list of hip-hop’s next billionaires.  Most have become home made names as well as using their platform to also become the highest-paid names in the industry between retail opportunities, performances and sponsorships. They have certainly acquired a lot during their time in their chosen career.

As expected, Jay secured his spot at the top of the Forbes charts as a leading mogul within the music industry with investments in real estate, technology and other musically influenced endeavors, not to mention his ongoing philanthropy, and Dr. Dre in second as he maintains his $800 million net worth prior to the sale of Beats by Dre to Apple in 2014 for $3 billion.  Although he prematurely declared himself a billionaire falling just short of $200M’s since his 2014 announcement.

Diddy trails Dre with $740 million, making him the third richest hip-hop figure in the business along with various retail products, marketing services and investments.  Kanye West’s $240 million comes in third thanks to his consistent sold out clothing-line led by Adidas among other investments and a ridiculous co-sign & wife who is influencing every release. Coming in 5th is Drake who has been more visible recently with the Raptors being in the NBA Finals as he comes in fifth according to Forbes with $150 M’s and a new plane to celebrate.
