Many social media mavens woke up on Friday with the headlines teasing Yeezy x Gap collaboration.  The most very important detail of the deal is that YZY x Gap will in fact appoint Mowalola Ogunlesi as the lead director/designer for the collaboration moving forward.  The announcement of the 10-year YZY x Gap partnership came on Kanye West’s Twitter.  The partnership is the beginning of Kanye’s dream to create affordable clothing with a brand like Gap.  There’s not much to know but Yeezy Gap, will be introduced in the first half of 2021 during their first season SS21 YZY x GAP.

Born in Nigeria and currently based in London, Ogunlesi has dressed Skepta, Dev Hynes, Solange Knowles, and Kanye West.  She also worked with NIKE to design Nigeria’s World Cup team uniforms. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ According to NYT will at the halfway point expect that Yeezy Gap will be generating $1 billion in annual sales. For context, Gap’s brand brought in $4.6 billion in global revenue last year.

Later this year Kanye, Kid Cudi & Murakami will debut “KIDS SEE GHOSTS,” an animated series via Netflix.
