#NewBalance Provide Employees With Tuition-Free College Degree

The Boston-based global athletic leader, home to the NBA champ and former Toronto Raptors, Kawhi Leonard today announced an agreement with Purdue University Global to provide a new tuition benefit program for its associates in the United States.

New Balance is putting its money where its mouth is. The athletic company home of the ‘574’ & the ‘576’ running sneakers, is investing in its employees. By providing a direct benefit that offers a tuition-free path to a college degree. Some degree programs are offered at no cost to individual employee’s.  Through this program, Purdue Global is the preferred online university option for eligible employees.  A public, nonprofit online institution of higher education, by Purdue Global offers associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, including business, information technology, cybersecurity, accounting and finance.

New Balance is just one of several cooperation that has entered the benefit program to help retain its current staffing. Companies such as UPS, Starbucks, AT&T and Bank Of America which some would reimburse tuition and others like New Balance adds to the trending culture of allowing employees to pursue a higher education while providing paid services for the company.  The benefit includes paid tuition, waived application fees and even covers the cost of course textbooks and materials for undergraduate degrees.
