In a recent interview, Shaggy details a working relationship with Seal Paul, PopCaan and the possibility of working with Rihanna.
The world-renowned Reggae/Dancehall artist Shaggy sat with Mediafeeds of AUS. Currently on tour, Shaggy spoke about his relationships with the featured tour mate, Sean Paul, and his current tour debacles. When asked about the rumored upcoming album by Rihanna, Mr. Boombastic admitted that there was an invite to be featured on the upcoming project by a Roc nation associate. If it were not got his current needs he would have accepted the offer. Due to his scheduled Shaggy admitted that he is unable to answer the invite.
There is a slight chance that Shaggy will answer the call but he assures fans that the people working on the upcoming album are people he personally co-signs. He also hinted that Dancehall superstar Demarco has a feature on the project alongside possibles of Sean Paul and Popcaan also to make appearances.
“It’s gonna be good; it’s really great… Demarco [who remixed Rihanna’s ‘Rude Boy’] is one of those artists that’s on it. He’s one of the top dancehall producers and a songwriter and he has a couple of songs on there. There are a couple of people who I know that are really, really strong people that are on there.”
Shaggy continued the conversation with mentions of Cardi B, Sting and his son who is a budding Hip-Hop artist.
