LVMH Announces The Manufacturing Of Hand Sanitizer For Distribution

The parent company of Christian Dior, Guerlain, and Givenchy suspend production to transform manufacturing locations into hand sanitizer lab.

Hand sanitizer is one of the most demanded products based on the current global pandemic. Fortunately the luxury brand LVMH promises to deliver the “hydroalcoholic gel,” free to public health officials in Paris. According to LVMH the corporation responsible for luxury fashion and cosmetics brands such as Marc Jacobs, Fendi, and Louis Vuitton. The CEO the production facilities are preparing its production sites to create “substantial quantities” of hand sanitizer. The production is promised to be delivered to health officials for free during the global crisis.

According to the press release from LVMH, the company will use all of its French facilities which were previously dedicated to fragrance and cosmetics production to make the disinfecting gel. More specifically, the same facilities used to produce fragrances for the luxury brands Dior, Guerlain, and Givenchy.

According to the release, the rollout of free hand-sanitizer limited to health authorities will start this week to some 39 public hospitals that serve Paris and the surrounding areas to help fight against the spread of Coronavirus. The virus has plagued the globe with records showing since January 2020. While others show dates as far back as December 2019. For official use, only the hand-sanitizer is not and will not be distributed for Hypebeast customers despite the hype.
